On the afternoon of Jul. 23rd, 2008, Mrs. Zhao Yali, Secretary-General of CBIA, came to Alcoa International Closure Systems (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. (renamed recently as CSI Closure Systems (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.) and visited its workshops. Founded in 1888, Alcoa is one of the world’s top 500 MNCs and the largest aluminum product manufacturer. Alcoa International Closure Systems (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., set up by Alcoa CSI with 29.9 million USD, went into production in 1995. With Alcoa’s own patented advanced equipment and technology of hot pressing, the Company, as one of the largest plastic closure manufacturers in Asia, makes high-quality plastic closures that sell well in China and other countries and regions in Asia. During the visit to the workshops, the technicians of the Company made a detailed description of the indexes and standards related with closure-making. Moreover, the Company’s closure volume will increase to 3.4 billion from 2.7 billion of 2007, among which closures for hot-filled beverages (tea drinks, milk-containing drinks, etc.) are on the rise.
