On Feb. 29th, 2008, Mrs. Zhao Yali, Secretary-General of CBIA, visited Guangdong Jianlibao Group Co., Ltd., and had a cordial and friendly interview with Mr. Ye Honghan, President of the Company, and other top executives.
Mrs. Zhao and Mr. Ye discussed upon the problems encountered by medium and small Chinese enterprises in the circulation of products. Mr. Ye said the current bottlenecks for the development of medium and small Chinese enterprises are not technological difficulties but the limitations in retailing. Too many and high circulation costs such as admission charge and display charge form very heavy burdens that force a lot of brands to quit monopoly supermarkets. And these supermarkets usually cover the best sales territories and make little stores run hard, which result in the adverse influence on brand image and the decrease in market share.
Mrs. Zhao made another visit to the Display Center of Jianlibao Group. Deeply impressed by the glorious contributions Jianlibao has made to China’s sports and beverage industry, she was filled with anticipation on Jianlibao’s future. The Company now has several famous brands: Jianlibao, the 5th Season, Pal, AB, Baofeng, and so on, among which the 20-year-old Jianlibao is the core beverage brand and enjoys a high reputation among Chinese consumers. Recently, the Company launched “1984” (sports drink) and “Sunny Pulp” (juice drink). Having experienced the development of Chinese sports drinks from 1984 to 2008, “1984” will continue the dream of glory and legend of “Chinese Magic Water”.
